Camp Bow-Isle is a camp for Christian Scientists located on beautiful Bowen Island in British Columbia, Canada. The island is surrounded by the waters of Howe Sound, a recognized UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. In the summer the camp offers programs for Christian Scientists of all ages (youth, family and adult sessions) and in the shoulder seasons school groups come to the Bow-Isle Outdoor Centre. Camp activities include camp-wide games, swimming, hiking, climbing, ropes course, kayaking, sailing, canoeing, archery and crafts. Surfing, mountain biking and canyoning happen on special out-trips. Each summer is a little bit different, check out their website for the latest schedule. Seasonal employment opportunities are also available as camp counsellors, kitchen staff and other roles.
The goal of Camp Bow-Isle is to offer an outdoor, recreational, cultural and spiritual program to enable individuals to recognize their spirituality and cherish each other through the practical application of Christian Science. Bible lesson study, church and Wednesday testimony meetings are woven into the camp routine.
The Campership Fund for Christian Scientists supports the activities of Christian Science campers, children, youth and adults. The fund will to cover up to 75% of the campers’ tuition during the various sessions year-round.

Funding is available for Christian Scientists to participate in camp programs in Canada and the United States.
